Wichita, KANSAS – According to the Wichita Police Department, this unfortunate accident occurred right after 6 p.m. Thursday.
It happened in the 1000 block of East MacArthur.
Wichita Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash.
When the officers arrived on scene, they found a 36-year-old bicyclist.
Police say the victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The bicyclist was traveling east and attempted to cross the road.
Dodge Journey cut in front of Nissan Altima and struck the bicyclist.
The suspect then fled the scene.
