KANSAS – According to the police report, WPD was notified of possible sexual relations occurring between Matthew McFarren, of Wichita, and a 16-year-old student.
The suspect was a high school teacher at Trinity Academy.
He was arrested on Saturday, March 20, following an investigation.
The school said it terminated McFarren two weeks ago for violation of employee expectations and school policy.
Trinity Academy officials are cooperating with the investigation.
The case has been presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office.
