Two suspects facing drug possession and fleeing charges after vehicle pursuit

Jackson County, KANSAS – According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were notified that PBPN officers were in pursuit of a vehicle.

This incident occurred right before 2 a.m. Saturday morning.

Jackson County Sheriff’s deputy deployed a tire deflation device that disabled the vehicle in the 14000 block of K-116 Hwy. 

Deputies said that two people were arrested.

The 45-year-old driver of the vehicle was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony flee and eluding and traffic charges. 

He was later identified as Dustin Dean Benton.

The 56-year-old passenger, Kristina Marie Arb, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
