Two suspects face multiple charges following chase in Cloud County

Cloud County, KANSAS – According to the Cloud County Sheriff’s Office, this incident occurred Wednesday afternoon.

Officials said the chase reportedly began after Concordia Police Department officer stopped a pickup truck pulling a trailer.

CCSO deputies then joined in the chase.

One of the suspects reportedly fired at the officers and a Concordia Police Department officer fired back. 

The chase ended when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Both suspects, Jacob Lyman and Valerie Sanchez, were arrested and taken into custody.

Lyman and Sanchez are facing multiple charges, officials said.

No injuries were reported.

The officer who fired at the vehicle was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.

This incident remains under investigation.
