Two people were arrested following a police chase in Topeka

TOPEKA – According to the police officials, Jedashaia Nicole Moreno and Nathan Paul Leonard were taken into custody following the chase.

About the incident – this unfortunate incident occurred right before 12 a.m. Monday.

A vehicle that had been reported stolen was spotted. Deputies later located the stolen vehicle and they attempted to make a traffic stop.

The driver failed to stop and a police chase started.

The police chase ended when the deputies performed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention maneuver.

Moreno was arrested on multiple counts including felony theft, felony fleeing and attempting to elude, possession of stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended and other traffic violations as well as a felony warrant for possession of a stolen firearm and city misdemeanor warrants.

Leonard was taken into custody for a felony narcotics warrant and city misdemeanor warrants.
