Two arrested on drug, child endangerment charges after search at home

Shawnee County, KANSAS – According to the Topeka Police Department, both suspects were arrested on Thursday.

TPD officers and the SCSO Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in the 2000 Block Illinois Avenue.

The search warrant was related to an ongoing investigation, police said.

The responding officers found firearm, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Both suspects, Amari Wilkerson and Blanca Cortes, were arrested and taken into custody.

Wilkerson was arrested for Possession of marijuana with the intent of distribution, Aggravated endangering a child; reckless situation, unlawful to acquire proceeds from a drug transaction, Possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent of distribution and Felony Obstruction.

Cortes was arrested for Possession of marijuana with the intent of distribution, Aggravated endangering a child; reckless situation, Unlawful to acquire proceeds from a drug transaction, Possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent of distribution and Felony Obstruction.
