Coffey County, KANSAS – Kansas Highway Patrol officials said the fatal accident occurred right after 6 p.m. Wednesday evening.
It happened on Interstate 35.
Kansas Highway Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding troopers discovered that single vehicle crashed at the location.
Troopers said the driver lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and hit a bridge post before ending up in the right ditch.
KHP officials have yet to release how many people were killed or their names.
