Topeka, KANSAS – According to the Topeka Fire Department, this unfortunate incident occurred around 6:11 p.m. Sunday.
It happened in the 1200 block of S.W. MacVicar Ave.
Topeka Fire Department crews responded to a report of a house fire.
The responding crews saw smoke coming from the one-story home.
They were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
There were no occupants inside the structure, officials said.
According to the TFD, the damage was estimated at $10,000 .
The cause of fire remains under investigation, officials said.
