Topeka, KS – According to the statement, this unfortunate incident occurred at the 400 block of NE Burgess Ave.
It happened around 5:20 a.m. Sunday and it caused $8,500 in damage.
When the Topeka Fire Department crew arrived on scene, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the detached garage.
No one was inside at the time of the fire.
This incident is under investigation.
