The Kansas Department of Health and Environment reported 752 new cases and 32 more hospitalizations

Lawrence, KS – According to the report, 15.1% of Kansans have been vaccinated with at least one dose.

The state is in the second phase of its vaccine distribution, covering people 65 and older, workers critical to the economy and people in group living situations, including prison inmates.

People under 65 with serious medical conditions are in the third phase.

The state plans to give thousands of meatpacking plant workers their first COVID-19 vaccines by the end of next week. 

Kansas plans to administer the first of two doses to more than 12,000 of them.
