“The combination of Xanax, marijuana and alcohol makes her snap”, Man says he is traumatized after watching his girlfriend smile before throwing his dog off the 7th floor balcony

The 46-year-old woman reportedly threw her boyfriend’s dog to its death from a 7th floor balcony during an argument. The dog owner claims he is traumatized after watching his girlfriend smile before picking up and throwing his beloved 3-year-old dog off the balcony during a fight. According to his suit, the 56-year-old man reportedly seeks $30,000 in damages. Any damages he receives from his civil suit will likely be donated to animal welfare advocates.

The 56-year-old man from Florida, Eric Adeson, claims he is traumatized after watching his girlfriend smile before picking up and throwing his beloved 3-year-old dog, Bucky, off the balcony during a fight early Sunday morning, Daily Mail reports.

Eric Adeson reportedly said: I was just screaming, I was horrified. I lost Bucky and I lost someone I cared about. There’s just so much tragedy in this story.”

The 56-year-old man claims his 46-year-old girlfriend, Shelley Vaughn, had been drinking, using prescription drugs and smoking marijuana prior to throwing his cellphone and keys over the balcony.

Vaughn, who reportedly lives two floors below, picked up Bucky when Adeson demanded that she leave.

Eric Adeson reportedly said: “A part of me was thinking, ‘Is there any way he’s still alive? But the common sense in me said no way.”

Unfortunately, the dog landed on asphalt in the parking lot and died.

The 46-year-old woman is now facing charges of felony animal cruelty, criminal mischief and domestic battery, per reports.

Adeson said that he had filed a civil suit against his 46-year-old girlfriend, whom he obtained a restraining order against hours before the attack.

Katherine Neal, Adeson’s attorney, reportedly said: “We felt it necessary to do something big and loud to scream to the community that these kinds of acts are unacceptable.”

According to his suit, Adeson reportedly seeks $30,000 in damages, per reports. Any damages he receives from his civil suit will likely be donated to animal welfare advocates, he said.

The 56-year-old man also said that he contacted an attorney after authorities didn’t arrest his now ex-girlfriend until 24 hours after Sunday’s attack. She was taken into custody Monday afternoon. Adeson also said that his 46-year-old girlfriend had gotten aggressive and physical with him before.

Eric Adeson reportedly said: “The combination of Xanax, marijuana and alcohol makes her snap. She just goes crazy.”

The 46-year-old suspect is reportedly going through a tough time due to the deteriorating health of her mother, who is battling cancer. She had never shown signs that she could hurt his dogs before, Adeson said.

This incident remains under investigation. This is a developing story and it will be updated as new information become available.
