The City of Lawrence is implementing additional parking changes that will go live this April

Lawrence, KS – According to the statement, these changes include advanced kiosk stations for parking lots and garages, a new online permit portal and parking citation updates.

The parking staff will install user-friendly kiosk stations at parking lots and garages downtown. The new kiosk stations will allow customers to select from multiple language options, and they will accept several types of payment, including credit card, cash and coin.

Kiosk stations will also allow users to pre-pay for multiple hours or days at a time – or go online to extend their parking session. Signage will direct users on how to initiate a parking session using the new system. Kiosk stations will not require an app download.

To provide easier access as well as more cost-effective options to purchase parking permits, the City’s parking division is introducing a new online permit portal to their website.

Permits will also continue to be available for purchase in-person at Municipal Court, located at 1 Riverfront Plaza, Suite 310, as well as at the new kiosk stations in parking lots and garages throughout downtown.
