Suspect arrested after man injured in S Greenwood shooting

Wichita, KANSAS – According to the police officials, the shooting occurred around 6:10 p.m. Wednesday.

It happened in the 1800 block of S Greenwood.

Wichita Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.

When the officers arrived on scene, they found one adult male victim.

Police said the 35-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene.

The responding officers then received information that the suspect had driven himself to the Sedgwick County Jail.

He was also taken to the hospital with injuries.

Investigators say the victim and the suspect knew each other.
