Lyon County, KANSAS – According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, this unfortunate accident occurred right after 10 p.m. Sunday.
It happened in the 1200 block of Road 160.
Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash.
The responding deputies discovered that SUV was traveling on Road 160 when the driver failed to make a curve.
The vehicle then left the road, overturned and came to rest against a tree.
The 16-year-old driver, Itzel Avalos-Tellez, and three young passengers (11, 8 and 13) suffered injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
This incident remains under investigation.
