SCSO deputies arrest two suspects in alleged burglary on SW University Dr

Topeka, KANSAS – According to the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office, this incident occurred right before 8 a.m. Friday.

It happened in the 900 block of SW University Dr.

The 911 caller told the dispatcher that two women with white Chevrolet Avalanche were taking items from businesses.

The responding deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that matched that description.

Both suspects were arrested and taken into custody.

44-year-old Cristal Gadbury was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for driving with a suspended driver’s license, no vehicle liability insurance, license plate not assigned to that vehicle, unsecured load and theft.

26-year-old Frednetta Covington-Winston was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft.
