Lawrence, KANSAS – According to the Lawrence Police Department, this unfortunate incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. Friday.
It happened on Engel Road on the University of Kansas campus.
Lawrence Police Department officers responded to a report of a vehicle vs pedestrian crash.
The responding officers discovered that the woman was walking on the street when she was struck by a vehicle.
The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The driver was not injured, police said.
