Shawnee County, KANSAS – SCSO officials said the shooting occurred right before 8 a.m. Sunday.
It happened in the 1200 block of SW Wanamaker Road.
Shawnee County Sheriff’s deputies were reportedly making an arrest connected a car chase that happened on Friday when the shooting happened.
The unidentified male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
His age or identity have not yet been released.
Neither of the SCSO’s deputies involved was injured.
No other information is available at the moment.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office will take the lead on the investigation of the shooting.
