On Monday, the Valley Center school district approved a new mask protocol

Valley Center, KANSAS – According to the statement, the Valley Center school board approved a plan that would make masks optional if the number of COVID-impacted students and staff is less than six percent.

The Valley Center school board looked at current COVID data and determined masks would be optional for the remainder of this week.

Officials have announced that each week, the Valley Center school district will look at Thursday’s COVID-impacted student numbers at each building for the requirement for the following Monday.
