OCSO: 45-year-old man arrested on drug charges following traffic stop

Osage County, KANSAS – According to the Osage County Sheriff’s Office, the 45-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into custody on Tuesday.

His name is Kevin Smith and he is now charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, interference with a law enforcement officer, and transporting an open container of alcohol or liquor.

The responding deputy conducted a traffic stop just north of the K-31/K-268/US-75 Highway roundabout for a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, drugs were found in the suspect’s vehicle. 

Smith was booked into the Osage County Jail Facility.
