Multi-vehicle crash involving two semi-trucks on Interstate 70 leaves one person dead

Kansas City, KANSAS – According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the fatal accident occurred right before 8 a.m. Friday morning.

It happened on Interstate 70.

Kansas Highway Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash.

The responding troopers discovered that two semi-trucks crashed at the location.

Troopers believe that an eastbound pickup sideswiped a semi-truck, causing it to go through a median barrier, hitting another semi-truck.

The unidentified driver of the westbound semi-truck suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead.

The drivers of the eastbound semi-truck and the pickup truck were taken to a hospital for treatment.
