Jackson County, KANSAS – According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, this unfortunate accident occurred around 6:45 p.m. Friday.
It happened on Highway 75 in Holton.
Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash.
The responding deputies found one victim.
The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Authorities say the man was trying to cross the road when he was hit by a vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle immediately stopped.
Holton Police Department is investigating this incident.
