Man involved in a deadly crash last weekend is now facing criminal charges

TOPEKA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred right after 3 a.m. early Saturday morning.

It happened at the Southeast 29th Street and Southeast Adams in Topeka.

When the officers arrived on scene, they discovered that a vehicle left the roadway and hit a sign.

The vehicle was driven by Cesar Robert Carreto Orozco.

The 37-year-old passenger died at the scene. His name is Erasmo C. Ramirez Soto.

Authorities arrested Orozco and he is facing the following criminal charges: involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence, driving under the influence and failure to maintain a lane.
