Man charged with attempted murder in the first degree, criminal possession of firearm by convicted felon in connection with two separate shootings

Topeka, KANSAS – According to the court documents, his name is Jericoe Moses Wolford and he was charged on Friday.

Prosecutors said the suspect is now charged with Attempted Murder in the First Degree; three counts of Aggravated Battery; two counts of Aggravated Assault and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. 

Wolford was charged for two separate shootings.

The first shooting occurred on Nov. 24. Officers responded to the area of NW Jackson and NW Grant. The responding officers found one male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The second shooting occurred on Dec. 5. Officers responded to the 9000 block of SW Indian Hills. The responding officers found two victims. Both victims were taken to a hospital for treatment. 

Investigators identified Wolford as the suspect from both incidents.

The suspect is being held on $750,000 bond.
