Man charged with aggravated burglary after he allegedly broke in and attacked the resident with a weapon

Topeka, KANSAS – According to the Topeka Police Department, his name is Robert Ball and he was arrested late Friday night.

The 28-year-old suspect is now charged with aggravated burglary, two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of criminal damage to property.

This incident occurred right after 10 p.m. Friday.

It happened in the 1400 block of SW Fillmore.

Topeka Police Department officers responded to a report of aggravated burglary in progress.

The 28-year-old suspect reportedly broke in and attacked the resident with a weapon.

The victim was able to overpower the suspect until the officers arrived.

Ball is being held on $75,0000 bond.
