Lawrence, KS – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred around 9 p.m. Monday north of Topeka.
It happened on US-75 highway.
Hyundai Elantra was traveling southbound on US-75 when it struck a deer.
A 28-year-old passenger was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Her name is Katrina Skidmore and she was wearing her seat belt.
The driver was not injured.
The car was damaged in the crash.
This incident is under investigation.
