Lawrence, KANSAS – According to the DCDA officials, the 47-year-old man was sentenced to life in prison with no possibility for parole for 25 years for a conviction of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
His name is Timothy Martins and prosecutors said that he was also was sentenced to 59 months for another count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, 41 months for another count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, and 32 months for indecent liberties with a child.
The sentences will be served concurrently with the Kansas Department of Corrections.
Prosecutors said that from 2012 through 2017, the defendant reportedly engaged in se-ual conduct with female children under his care and residing in his home.
The case was investigated by the Carbondale Police Department, the Special Victims Unit of the Lawrence Police Department, and the Kansas Department for Children and Families.
