LKPD: Suspect arrested, accused of string of auto burglaries

Lawrence, KANSAS – According to the LKPD officials, the suspect was arrested and taken into custody on Saturday.

Authorities believe that the suspect, who was not identified, may be responsible for several auto burglaries.

The responding officers reportedly recovered potentially stolen items from previous incidents.

The investigation began with a burglary call in the 2400 block of Ousdahl Road where evidence led officers to believe the same man was involved in 6 additional cases.

A search warrant of the suspect’s home helped officers recover more items.

Investigators are working to match property with items described in open cases.
