LAWRENCE — Kansas football didn’t have to look far to find the biggest piece in its pivotal Class of 2021 recruiting haul. About two miles, to be more specific. Devin Neal, a 5-foot-11, 208-pound running back out of Lawrence High, joined 17 others Wednesday as members of the Jayhawks’ latest early signing period contingent. A four-star recruit and the state’s No. 1-ranked incoming prospect according to 247Sports, Neal tallied 1,327 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns during his senior season with the Lions, earning an All-State Top 11 nod from The Topeka Capital-Journal.
