Lawrence, KANSAS – According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, this unfortunate accident occurred right before 4 a.m. early Monday morning.
It happened on westbound I-70.
Kansas Highway Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding troopers say that Honda CRV was traveling west on I-70 when it struck a deer that was in the roadway.
The 60-year-old driver suffered injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
He was later identified as Anthony Reyes.
