Lawrence, KS – According to the police report, this unfortunate incident occurred approximately at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday night. Lawrence police officers responded to a call saying someone had been hit by a train.
The officers arrived at 2nd St. and Indiana Street on the BNSF railway and found a woman in the area who appeared to have been hit by the train.
They have attempted lifesaving measures. But, unfortunately, they were unable to save the woman’s life. She was pronounced dead at scene.
Lawrence Police Department investigators are investigating the death. This story will be updated.
