Sedgwick County, KANSAS – Kansas Highway Patrol officials said the fatal accident occurred right before 6 p.m. Wednesday.
It happened on Interstate 235.
Kansas Highway Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding troopers discovered that pickup truck and freight truck crashed at the location.
Troopers believe the Dodge Ram pickup truck crossed the center median and collided with a freight truck.
The 56-year-old driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was later identified as Darth Cline.
The 30-year-old driver of the freight truck suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
He was later identified as Tyler Bauer.
