Kansas man with several prior DUI convictions has been sentenced to more than six years in prison for a drunken driving crash that killed a 56-year-old woman in 2018

KANSAS – According to the court documents, his name is Monty Carpenter Jr. and he was sentenced to 76 months in prison.

The 36-year-old man pleaded guilty in April to involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence.

Carpenter has been convicted of drunk driving three times before, the most recent being in 2011.

When Carpenter is released from prison, he’ll have to serve 36 months of post-release supervision.

He also has to pay more than $7,600 in restitution in $150 monthly installments.
