Olathe, KS – According to the court documents, his name is Raymond Thomas McManness and he was convicted of second-degree murder and mistreatment of a dependent adult.
Prosecutors say the defendant has been sentenced to 374 months in prison.
He also must register as a violent offender for 15 years.
The judge has ordered him to pay $5,000 in restitution to the Crime Victim’s Compensation Board.
This unfortunate incident occurred on Jan. 23, 2019.
Authorities received 911 call that the defendant’s mother, Sharon McManness, wasn’t breathing.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
