Sedgwick County, KANSAS – According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, this unfortunate accident occurred right before 7 a.m. Wednesday.
It happened on K-254 highway, west of Greenwich.
Kansas Highway Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash.
32-year-old driver with Honda Accord was driving west on K-254 behind a Peterbilt semi.
KHP says the semi attempted a lane change and the Honda Accord failed to yield, striking the rear of the semi.
The 32-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was later identified as Terry Eugene Echols Jr.
The 36-year-old driver of the semi, Shermichael Williams, suffered minor injuries.
This incident remains under investigation.
