Brown County, KANSAS – According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, this unfortunate accident occurred around 1:15 a.m. Friday.
It happened on US-75 Highway.
Kansas Highway Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding troopers discovered that a semi-truck was pulling out of a driveway turning Southbound on US-75.
Chevrolet Suburban then crashed into the rear of the semi-trailer.
The 46-year-old driver of the Chevrolet Suburban was pronounced dead at the scene.
She was later identified as Socorro Mercado.
This incident remains under investigation.
