Lansing, KANSAS – According to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, the 28-year-old inmate reportedly died on Friday.
His name is Casey Wallace and the Kansas Department of Corrections officials said he was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff.
The cause of the inmate’s death is pending an autopsy.
Officials said the 28-year-old man had been in prison since March 2021, for the distribution of marijuana and possession of a firearm.
This incident remains under investigation by the Kansas Department of Corrections and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
