Hutchinson, KANSAS – According to the Hutchinson Police Department, the shooting occurred right after 1 a.m. early Thursday morning.
It happened in the 300 block of E. 1st Ave.
Hutchinson Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.
When the officers arrived on scene, they found one adult male victim.
Police said the 38-year-old victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen.
His name is Michael Pena and he was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The extent of the victim’s injuries is unknown at this time.
