Husband shot and killed his wife after she ‘laughed at him because he thought their 13-year-old daughter was pregnant’

According to the police officials, 46-year-old husband shot his wife in the head after she laughed at him about his concern that their teenage daughter was pregnant. This unfortunate incident occurred around 3:15 a.m. Tuesday. The 46-year-old man drove to the law enforcement center to report that he had shot his 41-year-old wife in the back of the head. He told authorities that he shot his wife following an argument about their 13-year-old daughter.

His name is Johnny Ray Aldridge and he told investigators that his wife had told him their daughter was pregnant. The 46-year-old man believed the woman had been ‘prostituting’ the teen, leading to an argument. He told authorities that he had shot his wife dead and the gun he used to kill his wife was in his Chevrolet Tahoe.

The responding officers found his 41-year-old wife, Caitlin Aldridge, dead in an upstairs bedroom in their family home in Minnesota. Police say the woman suffered a gunshot wound to the head.  The couple’s daughter, told investigators that her father wasn’t himself after being shot in the hand in June. He had carried a gun because he was scared. She also said that her father gets mad and her parents have been fighting over small stuff for the past few days.

Investigators say the suspect was obsessed with people trying to harm his daughter police said. He believed his wife was somehow involved. There’s no evidence showing that her father’s beliefs were true, with the teen repeatedly denying she’d been raped.

The 46-year-old man is now charged with second-degree murder. Prosecutors say he faces up to 40 years in prison if convicted. He’s being held on $1 million bond. This is a developing story and it will be updated as new information become available.
