Oakley, KANSAS – According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, this accident occurred right after 8 p.m. Sunday.
It happened on U.S. 83.
The Kansas Highway Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash.
Northbound Ford F-150 went into a ditch, came back onto the roadway, crossed the center line and hit a southbound Ford F-250 head-on.
Both drivers suffered serious injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
The 53-year-old driver of the F-150, Robert Long, was later pronounced dead.
This incident remains under investigation.
