Shawnee County, KANSAS – According to the Soldier Township Fire Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right after 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.
It happened on Meriden Road.
Soldier Township Fire Department and Topeka Fire Department crews responded to a report of a house fire.
The responding crews saw smoke and flames coming from the residence.
They were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
No injuries were reported, officials said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
