Topeka, KANSAS – According to the Topeka Fire Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right before 5 a.m. Monday.
It happened at 1600 S.W. Clay.
Topeka Fire Department crews responded to a report of a house fire.
The responding crews saw heavy flames and smoke coming from the house.
They were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
Officials have reported that the house had caught fire previously and it was unsafe for firefighters to enter.
No one was injured in this incident.
The cause of fire remains under investigation.
