Douglas County reported an increase of 66 COVID-19 cases

Lawrence, KS – According to the statement, the county has averaged about 20 new cases per day over the last 14 days.

The current average of 19.86 new cases per day is down from a recent high of 70 cases per day in early January.

Douglas County has a 14-day COVID-19 incidence rate of 228.61 per 100,000 people and a test positivity rate of 3.7%.

Ten patients at Lawrence’s hospital had COVID-19 on Monday, three more than Friday.

Unfortunately, 71 Douglas County residents have died from COVID-19 so far.
