Wichita, KANSAS – According to the Wichita Police Department, her name is Neriah Dilley and she was arrested for felony murder and child abuse charges.
Wichita Police Department officers responded to a report of an infant not breathing.
This unfortunate incident occurred Saturday. It happened in the 800 block of South Mission.
The responding officers found the 1-year-old baby in critical condition.
Police say the 1-year-old girl,Myonna Townley, suffered trauma on her body and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Unfortunately, she was later pronounced dead.
The 27-year-old mother was arrested and charged.
This incident remains under investigation.
