KANSAS – According to the police officials, the shooting occurred around 7:15 p.m. Friday.
It happened at the 11th Street and SW College in Topeka.
When Topeka Police Department officers arrived on scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to an area hospital.
He suffered a non-life threatening injury.
Richard S. O’brien was taken into custody.
The 33-year-old man remains in the Shawnee County Department of Corrections.
This incident is under investigation.
