Authorities in southeast Kansas have arrested nine people following an eight-month long joint investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs

KANSAS – According to the statement, 3 additional arrests are pending in connection to the operation.

According to the officials, multiple law enforcement agencies executed arrest warrants in Chanute, and in the surrounding Neosho, Allen and Montgomery counties.

The arrest warrants were issued by the Neosho County Attorney’s Office, the Allen County Attorney’s Office and the United States Attorney’s Office.

Those arrested were booked into the Neosho County and Allen County jails for drug-related crimes, including suspected distribution of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.

Chanute Police Department, the Montgomery Sheriff’s Office, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, KHP and ATF made the arrests.
