KANSAS – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred Saturday morning in Emporia.
Emporia Police Department officers responded to a report of a burglary and rape by an armed suspect.
The victim told police that the suspect entered the home, threatened her and her toddler with a weapon and raped her.
Authorities arrested the 24-year-old suspect.
His name is Victor Joel Cardona River and he was booked in the Lyon County Detention Center on suspicion of aggravated burglary, rape, aggravated criminal sodomy and criminal threat.
