Topeka Fire Department crews responded to a house fire at 1240 NE Madison Street in Topeka.
When they arrived on scene, they found smoke and flames coming from the single story residence.
The house was vacant.
A preliminary investigation indicates the fire cause to be intentionally set.
Working smoke detectors were not located within the home.
This incident is under investigation.
