TOPEKA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred around 7:20 a.m. Tuesday.
It happened at the Casey’s 600 SE Rice Road in Topeka.
Topeka Police Department officers responded to reports of an armed robbery.
The 23-year-old entered the store, displayed a handgun and stole an undisclosed amount of cigarettes.
His name is Elijah C. Radcliff and he fled prior to officer’s arrival.
This incident is under investigation.
