A Wichita woman accused of running over a stranger and then shooting and killing him is out of jail

WICHITA – According to the police officials, her name is Charity Blackmon and she was being held in the Sedgwick County Jail.

Blackmon was being held on a $250.000 bond in the death of Merril Rebus.

Blackmon posted bail on July 1.

The woman charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.

She made her first court appearance on March 30 and is expected back in court for a preliminary hearing on Sept. 14.
