Lawrence, KS – According to the statement, her name is Shai Lorene Chantel Boyd and she was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
This unfortunate incident happened around 11:10 p.m. at the intersection of 286th Road and US-75.
The driver and another passenger in the car in which Boyd was riding were taken to Topeka’s Stormont Vail Health with serious injuries.
The other vehicle’s two occupants were taken to Stormont Vail with suspected minor injuries.
Circumstances of the crash remained under investigation by the Kansas Highway Patrol.
All those involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.
This incident is under investigation.
